Eligible candidates should have a valid score in one of the exam mentioned in previous here. IIT Kanpur (along with some other institutes) also conducts its own exam COGJET. COGJET-2021 was held on 20th of February and results have been declared. The score only has validity for one-year (COGJET scores from previous years is not valid).
Yes, you need to apply separately for admission to MS/PhD program at IIT Kanpur.
The qualifying cut-off for shortlisting candidates is decided separately by each institute and can be declared only after last date of application.
The application portal for applying to MS/PhD program is active and can be accessed by visiting www.iitk.ac.in/doaa/pgadmission, the last date of receiving application is 15/04/2021. In your application select others as your qualifying exam along with roll number and score.

After the last date of application, Department of cognitive science will declare a cut-off and names of shortlisted candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to appear for an interview. Final selection will be made based on performance in COGJET as well as the interview. Details of these steps will be made available on the department webpage.
